adequate stay overall
king bed rhubarb compote easy order unfriendly host strict times tv malfunction
the room was spacious it featured a large king bed. breakfast ordering was easy the evening prior. i particularly enjoyed the homemade rhubarb compote it was quite flavorful.
the host was not very friendly i felt unwelcome. check-in and checkout times are strict they were inconvenient. the tv in the room did not work.

The breakfast menu had plenty of options. I found parking very easy. The location is very close to the harbor and restaurants. I was really surprised.

a hillside hideaway
homemade compote quick walks
the location allows for quick walks to shops. homemade rhubarb compote added a lovely touch to breakfast. i enjoyed robes and scented toiletries available in my room, such details enhanced my stay.
my private bathroom required a walk through two doors and along a corridor. the yale key operation late at night risked waking other guests.

clean room specialty soaps
i stayed for two nights in room 2. the room was spotlessly clean. the bed was comfortable, with fluffy towels. a roll top tub with a hand held shower provided bathing options. i liked the bath robe and specialty soaps from highland soap co. plenty of hot water was available.

the hotel sits on the hill below mccaig's tower. the location offered a beautiful evening view of the harbor and town. it was an easy downhill walk to the main street. onsite parking was provided.

fantastic location homely feel great variety
the location was fantastic, shops and restaurants were a short walk away. the house felt very warm and homely. the hosts accommodated my dietary needs without any issues. breakfast had great variety and was plentiful.
the steep drive and narrow roads made it tricky to exit the hotel (especially in the morning).
